The task was to launch a new variable annuity for Nationwide. This was Nationwide’s entry into the category, called investment only variable annuities. It’s a growing market, we needed to a way to set it apart. We came up with a product name that did just that, we called it Destination Freedom+. And our campaign encouraged financial advisors to Think freedom first.
We had two tracks of communications:
Internal communications for Nationwide wholesalers (who sell to the advisors).
External communications for agents and advisors selling the annuity to their end-investor clients.
